Lymphedema is chronic swelling caused when the lymphatic system can't drain fluid properly, sometimes after cancer treatment or lymph node removal, sometimes for other reasons. Lipedema is a different condition, a painful build-up of fat, usually in the legs and arms, that often comes with swelling and tenderness. Both can leave you feeling heavy, achy and frustrated.
How gentle lymphatic massage can support you
- Helps move fluid and ease the feeling of heaviness
- Can reduce tenderness and tightness
- Supports your compression and self-care routine
- Offers calm, respectful, judgement-free care
Working alongside your care team
Lymphatic massage is a supportive wellness treatment, not a replacement for medical care. If you're under the care of a doctor or certified lymphedema therapist, Donna is happy to work alongside their plan. Please don't book if you have an active infection (such as cellulitis), a blood clot, or uncontrolled heart or kidney problems, and speak with your doctor first.
